The Greater Nottingham Content Management System provides benefits to the community relative to the numbers of people using it. And that doesn't just mean those who are accessing the site - it includes those who run their own websites within the system.

Here is how it works.

The GNP and its partners have invested in the Content Management System. The GNP and its major partners (e.g. the Greater Nottingham Learning Partnership) are paying to provide the system and host the websites that you can access.

Other Partnership groups are encouraged to have their own website as part of the content management system and to use the facilities that the system provides. The cost of this is low and related to the ability of the group to contribute to the running and support cost. e.g. Individual voluntary or community sector organisations in Greater Nottingham would not be expected to pay for the running costs of their own site, although they may have to pay a small amount to buy and maintain their own web address.

On the other hand, partnership groups who have a budget to pay for their own web presence would be expected to contribute to the costs of running and supporting the system so that together we can continue to maintain and develop the system over time.

On the following pages you can access further information about the system, how it works, the costs associated with using it (where applicable) and finally, there is an online form that you can use to let us know whether you are interested in getting online with the system.
