The Content Management System (CMS) is a powerful new way to facilitate Partnership communications. Whether connecting partners, groups, teams, networks or organisations the infrastructure provided by the CMS represents a very significant opportunity to create and add value and tangible benefits for all stakeholders.

At the heart of the Greater Nottingham System is Easysite Community, the content management system developed by EIBS Limited in Nottingham over the last 3 years and now being used by many public and private sector organisations. You can see more by visiting their website at www.eibs.co.uk

The Greater Nottingham Partnership, together with the Greater Nottingham Learning Partnership, have invested in the full Easysite Community system, with all of the available modules. The initial system was specified to provide access to the system for all of the GNP and GNLP partnership groups e.g.:

  • the GNP and GNLP boards
  • the GNPs Strategy Action Teams
  • the GNLPs Strategic Groups
  • the GNLPs working groups
  • Local Strategic Partnerships in the Greater Nottingham area
  • other associated partnership and wider network groups

Since the initial investment further development work has been undertaken to enhance the system to enable groups to be offered their own "standalone" CMS, but with the added benefit of data sharing and searching facilities across the whole of the Greater Nottingham system.

This development has been further enhanced by the purchase of a licence enabling all individual voluntary and community organisations to have access to the system, providing them with a website and the benefit of the full functionality of the CMS.
